Chainbox has delivered an e-commerce solution with minor customisations for B2B sales, based on Umbraco CMS and Chainbox PIM for product data. The company started out on an older ERP system and later moved to Uniconta, with full integration to the e-commerce solution from both ERP systems.

A strategic move to one joined-up solution

Vanpee A/S originally chose a website specialist to build and maintain the website, and Chainbox to handle the shop. That led to some technical problems between the two, and meant Vanpee couldn't make changes to the website themselves.

That led to the decision to let Chainbox deliver the complete e-commerce solution.

Automatic quarterly upgrades

Today 60% of Vanpee's sales come through the digital platform.

With new versions of Umbraco and Chainbox PIM, Vanpee has moved more and more towards a standard solution.

Cecilie says: “When we upgraded to V5, we could leave customisations behind that had been replaced by standard features. Now we benefit from quarterly updates and keep up to date through the release notes in Umbraco CMS. It works really well for us.”

Knowledge sharing on a big scale

“In a company like ours, the amount of valuable and required data and documentation only gets bigger and more important every day. It's a huge relief to have our extensive digital archive, which our customers can access, or we can link to when needed,” says Ken Røgen, Managing Director at Vanpee A/S.
